Scope Note:
Nonfiction work primarily concerned with dance, dancers, and choreography, including types of dance such as ballet, jazz, modern, ballroom, tap, folk, ethnic, and vaudeville. Dance work may be biographical, ethnographic, educational, or instructional in nature. Note: Not necessary to also use Documentary, since that is implied by the term Dance. For work documenting single or multiple dance performances, concerts, or events, use Dance in conjunction with the form Performance. For variety programs and films in which dance is featured substantially, use Dance with Variety. Provide access for specific types of dance presented through subject headings.
