Using a Saved List with DHR
1. Log to your Cataloging account from your logto menu. Caps Lock must be on. At the "ENTER SELECTION" prompt enter "." in order to operate at TCL.
2. At the ">" prompt enter "MAD.DELETED.HOLDINGS" which is the VOC to be executed.
3. At the "----:" prompt enter "I" in order to insert item barcodes.
4. At the line number prompt, "0001=" scan an item barcode with the reader. You will be prompted with the next line number. Scan all item barcodes.
5. After all item barcodes have been scanned depress <enter> key.
6. At the "----:" prompt enter "FI" in order to save your list of item barcodes.
In order to exit enter "EX", enter "Y" at the "Record changed" prompt, then enter "MM" at the ">" prompt.
7. At the ">" prompt enter "GET-LIST MAD.DELETED.HOLDINGS" in order to retrieve the saved list of item barcodes.
8. At the ">>" prompt enter "MM" in order to operate at the Master Menu of your Cataloging account.
9. At the "ENTER SELECTION" prompt enter "DHR" in order to execute the Delete Holdings Records utility.
10. At the "Enter the type of deletion" prompt enter "S" in order to delete item records from a saved list of item barcodes.
11. At the "Enter password" prompt enter your password.
12. At the "Do you wish to print one at the time?" prompt enter "N" in order not to print the previous exception report.
13. Answer the prompts as follows: "Print exception report on completion of the batch?" enter "N", "Enter the name of the list that was selected at TCL" enter "MAD.DELETED.HOLDINGS", "Save list of deleted holdings?" enter "N", "Last copy bib" enter "H", "Last copy for hold" enter "Y", "Discard last copy for primary agency?" enter "Y", "Discard holdings not belonging to MAD?" enter "N"
14. At the "Continue process" prompt enter "C" in order to delete the item records in the saved list.
